How do I book & what Deposit is needed to book, and when is the balance payable?

To request a booking, please complete the "Make an Enquiry" form, including your preferred hire dates. You'll be contacted by email or phone to confirm availability of the Swift Voyager 485 motorhome and to discuss any additional requirements.


To secure the booking, a non-refundable deposit of £250 must be paid. This can either be paid by debit or credit card over the phone or by Bank transfer.


Befroe paying your deposit, please double check the dates are still available on our avilability calendar before sending the payment, as we cannot secure any dates until the deposit monies have been received, and your dates may have been taken by someone else.

The final balance must be paid in full (including any optional extra's) no later than 8 weeks prior to collection date.


If your hire date is less than 8 weeks of making the booking, full balance must be paid at the time of booking.

What is the Security Deposit?

The motorhome is returned on time, as agreed in your hire schedule.

Following these simple steps ensures a smooth and stress-free return process, and a full refund of your deposit.

A £1,000 security deposit is required upon collection of the motorhome, in line with standard practice across the industry. This can be paid by debit or credit card, bank transfer, or in cash at the time of handover.

The deposit is held to cover any potential damage, loss, or breaches of the hire agreement, and will be refunded in full provided the vehicle is returned in accordance with the terms and conditions.

Refunds will be processed to the same card or account used for payment, and are typically completed within 5 working days of the vehicle's safe return and post-hire inspection.

Common Deductions from the Security Deposit

To avoid any deductions from your deposit, please ensure the following before returning the motorhome:

  • The waste and toilet tanks are fully emptied.
  • The fuel tank is returned full.
  • Both gas canisters are returned (including partially used ones).
  • No damage to the motorhome, inside or out, beyond what is recorded on the pre-hire checklist.
  • All inventory items (bedding, kitchenware, accessories, etc.) are returned in good condition.
  • No unauthorised pets have been in the vehicle.
  • The motorhome is returned on time, as agreed in your hire schedule.

Following these simple steps ensures a smooth and stress-free return process, and a full refund of your deposit.

What are the Collection and Return Times

Collection & Return Information

The motorhome will be available for afternoon collection on your agreed pick-up date. A specific collection time will be arranged in the days leading up to your booking to ensure everything is ready for your journey.

The vehicle must be returned by 11:00am on the agreed return date. Please note that no refund will be given if the motorhome is returned earlier than scheduled.

Late Returns

During quieter periods, it may be possible to extend the return time for a small additional fee. If you'd like to request a later return, this must be arranged in advance and confirmed by Lees Motorhome Hire before your return date.

Late returns that have not been approved in advance may incur additional charges, so please get in touch beforehand if your plans change.

Is there a mileage limit?

Mileage Allowance

Lees Motorhome Hire includes a generous 200 miles per day as standard. This is calculated cumulatively over the duration of your hire — for example, a 5-day hire allows for a total of 1,000 miles.

Mileage will be recorded during the handover on collection and again on return. If the total mileage exceeds your allowance, an additional charge of £1 per mile will apply.

Unlimited Mileage Option

For those planning longer journeys, an Unlimited Mileage Pack is available for an additional fee. This option must be booked and paid for in advance, prior to collecting the motorhome.

Are pets allowed in the motorhome?

No, pets are not permitted in the motorhome under any circumstances. Bringing a pet into the vehicle without prior approval is a direct breach of the hire agreement and will result in a deduction from your security deposit. This is to ensure the motorhome remains in excellent condition for all future hirers, especially those with allergies or sensitivities. Please ensure alternative arrangements are made for pets before your trip.

Can I park my vehicle while I hire the motorhome?

Yes, free parking is available for your vehicle while you hire the motorhome. You can leave your car securely parked with us for the duration of your hire. However, please note that all vehicles are left at the owner's own risk. We recommend ensuring your vehicle is properly secured before leaving it with us.
